Intro
Datazoom’s enrichment service enhances in-app, event-level data with contextual information from backend systems. Data is enriched in real time for a holistic understanding of user interactions, content consumption, and advertising performance, eliminating the need for time-consuming post-processing.
Google Ad Manager (GAM)
Grant GAM API Access to Datazoom
Give a Google Ad Manager API key and your GAM network code to Datazoom so that we can access your service’s GAM ad performance report via API. This is described in detail here.
Keep in mind that Datazoom has retry logic to attempt access to the report if the GAM API fails. For ongoing failures, the Datazoom platform will notify the Datazoom team to contact Google directly.
GAM Enrichment Fields
Datazoom ingests the GAM ad performance data daily and enriches Ad Impression events with the following data made available via GAM:
‘cpmMatch’: “true” if the ad_id or wrapper_id matches to the [lineItemId] from GAM, otherwise “false”. Customers can investigate causes for why GAM isn’t including a correlatable value.
‘cpm’:
Actual cost per 1000 ad impressions if ‘cpmMatch’ is true
Service-level average cpm if ‘cpmMatch’ is false
‘price’: [cpm] / 1000
‘quantity’: “1”
cpmCurrency: the currency used to execute the transaction (e.g., “USD”)
revenueType: “ad”
creative_name: [creativeName] from GAM
gam_brand: [brand] from GAM

EPG data enrichment
Customers can correlate EPG (episode programming guide) data for linear catalogs in two ways.
Directly from via Datazoom SDKs by assigning EPG metadata as custom metadata: https://help.datazoom.io/hc/en-us/articles/360059000311-Sending-Custom-Events-and-Custom-Metadata
Using enrichment. After giving Datazoom API access to an endpoint from which EPG data can be ingested, Datazoom will pull in 14 days of upcoming EPG data and update this information at a predetermined frequency (e.g., daily). As video events are collected via the Datazoom SDKs, EPG data is enriched by correlating a custom identifier (e.g., ‘channel’) and the time of day associated with the event.
