SDK Load & Player Start-up Separation

The Datazoom SDK now offers ability to complete the initial download of the SDK before the player is loaded on the page.   This allows Custom Events and Custom Metadata to be sent to Datazoom before the video player is ready.   This feature is currently supported on the Akamai AMP javascript player & will be coming to more collectors over the coming releases.

Custom Player Naming

Customers can now pass in a custom name to identify their player instance on the page.  The Datazoom SDK will pull data directly from this specific player instance.  The feature also allows customers to switch between video players on a page by updating the player instance name.  Currently supported on the Akamai AMP javascript player & will be coming to more collectors over the coming releases.

Akamai iOS & Android Collector Updates

Removed dependency for Google Analytics libraries. This effort was to minimize the complexity of the integration and allow customers more flexibility when integrating the Datazoom libraries in their app.  Google Client IDs can now be passed as custom metadata attribute.

deviceType & playerName are now standard default fields included in all messages.
