Splunk is a platform where you can take real-time data as captured via a Datazoom Collector and perform live data analysis. In addition, should you already have your content streaming infrastructure instrumented with Splunk, you can perform powerful analysis to better understand the impact of problems with that infrastructure and how they are manifested during customer video playback.
Datazoom → Splunk Cloud
Datazoom passes collected data points to Splunk via their HTTP event collector. There are several steps to prepare Splunk to accept data. Since Splunk offers several versions of their software, please review their HTTP event collector instructions to setup your specific version here: https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/7.2.3/Data/UsetheHTTPEventCollector
Please be sure to use _json
as the Source Type during setup.
Please note your HTTP Event Collector Token presented at the end of the setup process.
