As part of the total suite of tools from New Relic, the Insights product provides real-time analytics and visualization of data captured by your video player(s). Further, that data can be correlated and visualized with any other part of your content platform that is already instrumented with other products from New Relic thereby providing a more complete cause-effect view into customer video experiences.
Datazoom → New Relic Insights
Datazoom passes collected data points to Insights via a custom mapping that adheres to a video monitoring specific data model. When you configure a New Relic Connector in the Datazoom Web Management Console you can select to use this pre-built mapping. Once configured, using NRQL (New Relic Query Language) a customer can easily create real-time queries to run against this data resulting in a wide variety of Quality of Experience metrics.
Setting up a Connector for New Relic Insights is easy. Follow the directions here on How to Add a Connector. Select the New Relic integration from the Connector setup screen. Be sure to have your New Relic Insights Account_ID and Insert_Key handy as you be needing those to complete the setup. Once complete you can add New Relic Insights to a Data Pipe as covered in the How to Configure a Data Pipe document.
